Here we go ladies and gentlemen, another year starting and on the downward process of this membership year.  You are getting closer to that BACK TO BACK membership year.  As of December 4th membership report, we only had 17 posts that reached or exceeded their 100% membership goal for the 2014-2015 year.  Last year at this time there were 29 posts.  By the time this is printed, YOU will exceed that number.

Our DMS seminar went pretty good at Post 1.  There were over 120 members transferred to the local posts.  This is a great start for the membership year 2015-2016.  Our membership report shows we are over the 75% needed to meet the National goal, so please keep up the great work.  We still have a long way to go to reach the National goal set by Commander Helm.  Posts Commanders and Adjutants, NOW is the time to contact your non-renewed members.  Every Post needs to get their 100% membership.  You can do this.  District 7 will be holding a DMS seminar in January, District 4 in February.  Posts in these Districts will be needed to assist not only to get new members into their posts but into the Department.

National Commander Mike Helm will be out to visit us at our Mid-Year Conference and assisted in the troop induction on Friday night, January 23, 2015.  This will be our seventh year performing this service for the US Army.  To the best of my knowledge we are the only Department that does this and as usual it will be a great ceremony.

This year’s Mid Year Conference will be putting a lot of information out to our membership.  If at all possible, Commanders, Adjutants, and Vice Commanders really need to attend.  Reservation form is still on line at the Colorado Legion website – get your reservation in soon.
